Wildland Fire Information Technology (WFIT) Program
The WFIT Program is composed of an Executive Board, a Program Board, and an Architecture Review Board. This collaborative governance structure oversees interagency Information Technology (IT) investments, portfolio management, connectivity, and technology to support business and data capabilities.

The NWCG committees develop operational, training and data standards and maintain the Wildland Fire Glossary. NWCG committees also provide business and data stewardship by developing and maintaining a list of priority data and Information Technology (IT) capabilities.
Data Management Program (DMP)
The DMP is made up of the Data Management Office (DMO) and the NWCG Data Management Committee (DMC). The DMO works with the NWCG Data Management Committee (DMC) and the Chief Data Officers of the Department of Interior (DOI), the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the US Forest Service (USFS) to meet federal, legal, and strategic data goals and objectives. The DMO is responsible for developing and maintaining the enterprise data architecture, data and metadata inventories, data models and catalogs that support reliable access to interagency wildland fire data.
Wildland Fire Interagency Geospatial Services (WFIGS) Group
WFIGS oversees the implementation of the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) Open Data Site which provides public access to authoritative wildfire data layers.
